Elham Shafaei – Bridging Cultures Through Art
With roots in Iran and a global perspective, Elham Shafaei creates art that resonates beyond borders. An internationally exhibiting artist and curator, her work delves into themes of identity and culture. Now based in the UAE, she is also the Co-Founder and Co-Editor of ContemporaryIdentities, a platform dedicated to exploring contemporary art practices worldwide.
Elham Shafaei was born in Iran in 1983. She earned her bachelor’s degree in art from the School of Arts at the University of Science and Culture in Tehran. In 2010, she moved to Malaysia, where she completed both her M.A. and Ph.D. in Fine Arts. Since 2017, she has been based in the United Arab Emirates, where she actively pursues her studio practice.
Elham is an internationally exhibiting artist and curator, whose work explores themes of identity, culture, and contemporary issues. She is also the Co-Founder and Co-Editor of ContemporaryIdentities, an International Online Art Magazine that highlights diverse voices and practices in contemporary art.
