BIOGRAPHY

Kinga Földi, a Budapest-based textile sculptor from Hungary, creates intricate silk sculptures that celebrate the beauty of nature. She began her artistic journey by collecting and assembling found fabric pieces, which eventually led her to pursue formal studies at the renowned Moholy Nagy University of Art and Design. Her time there equipped her with diverse techniques, such as bobbin lace-making and origami, but it was the pin-tuck method that truly defined her style.

Kinga chose silk as her primary medium, captivated by its texture and depth, using the pin-tuck technique to create detailed, rhythmic surfaces resembling scales or feathers. After working in fashion and wearable sculpture, she embraced her true passion as a full-time sculptor, allowing her to explore the delicate balance between nature and art. Her work has been exhibited across Hungary and Italy, earning international recognition, and recently catching the eye of Phirosa Neterwala.

Through her sculptures, Kinga invites viewers to reconnect with the natural world, offering a tactile experience that evokes joy and warmth. Discover her latest works at Double J Collective Gallery, where nature’s beauty is brought to life through the softness and elegance of silk.
