Noura Al Serkal

Noura Al Serkal is an Emirati interdisciplinary artist and jeweller, celebrated for her ability to merge cultural heritage with contemporary design. As the founder of TURABI and Noura Jassim Alserkal Design Studio, her creations reflect a profound appreciation for the natural world, combining sustainable practices with artistic ingenuity. Guided by a deep curiosity and respect for storytelling traditions, Noura’s work embodies the intersection of timeless craftsmanship and modern aesthetics.

A graduate of the prestigious Royal College of Art with a Master’s in Jewellery and Metal (2019), Noura has received numerous accolades, including the Emirates Futurism Award for Jewellery, the ADMAF Design Fund (supported by L’École Van Cleef), and the RCA Swarovski Design Award. Her projects have been exhibited in cities such as Riyadh, Vienna, London, and Dubai, solidifying her reputation as one of the UAE’s most promising creative voices.

Recently, Noura collaborated with Morocco’s Atelier Talasin to create “Tansej”, a limited-edition collectible piece that celebrates sisterhood and the art of weaving. Meaning “she weaves” in Arabic, Tansej is a tribute to the Amazigh (Berber) women weavers of the Atlas Mountains, crafted from Siroua wool and naturally dyed fibers. The piece exemplifies Noura’s ability to channel cultural narratives into tangible works of art, creating meaningful connections between past and present.
